Beginning November 2024 through August 2025, Boat Launch 1 will be closed for renovations. Shoreline, and other fishing areas, will remain open for use. Beginning January 2025 – February 2025, full park closure due to site renovations. For more information contact 1(800) 234-7275.

Lake Skinner Park is located about 90 miles south of Los Angeles ,off the 215 freeway, 12 miles east of Temecula. It is also with in easy reach of the 15 freeway off Rancho California Road. The surface area of the lake is about 1200 acres and about 12 miles of shoreline. A 6,000-acre park surrounds the lake.

Park Information

FACILITIES:
Two-paved launch ramps and a marina with overnight slip rentals available. There is a 10 mile speed limit on the lake, with no body contact with water. There are 200 campsites available for RV’s and tents. Full hook-ups for RV’s and showers are available. New play area and splash pad for kids open during summer months.

OTHER RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Picnicking, hiking and horseback riding trails

Fishing Information

FISHING:
We have a variety of fish in the lake; striped bass action is best in the winter months but active all year. Riverside County stocks trout and catfish. The lake also has large mouth bass, crappie and bluegill. For fishing regulations, visit the California Department of Fish and Game.

Services

For your convenience, there is a camp grocery/bait shop, café and marina for boat rentals. We also have Dry Storage spaces available at a monthly rate and wet slips for day use only. Gas and propane are available at the camp store. Laundry facilities are available. Washer is $2.00 per load, dryer is $2.00 per 20 minute cycle.

The splash zone at Lake Skinner is now open!
