This picturesque day use site in Oak Creek Canyon is at the trailhead of the West Fork of Oak Creek Trail. The trail follows the West Fork stream into a side canyon of Oak Creek Canyon, rich with maples and breathtaking beauty. Bring a picnic, your camera, and go for a hike!

Campground Information

There are three popular trails accessible from the Grasshopper Point parking lot: Allen’s Bend goes north and connects with Casner Canyon Trail. Allen’s Bend also goes south and connects with Huckaby Trail.

Directions

Drive south from Flagstaff about 26 miles or north from Sedona for about 2 miles on US 89A. Grasshopper Point will be approximately 2 miles south of Encinoso Picnic Area on the east side of US 89A. All roads are paved.
